11/45 memory:	No change.

New Ampex	Due back from wire-wrap on Friday - JBR.

Arms:		Gold arm still being rewired by JKS.

Foonly channel:	New microcode fixed some bugs, but not hung timout - BH.

DCA KBD scanner: DCA now promises a new set of chips that should fix their bug - TED.

9-track tapes:	Limbo - LES.

New keyboards:	Limbo - TED.

Ampex Discs:	1 drive down -- needs bearings - TED.
		Another drive ordered by LLL, to be delivered "soon" - PMF.

9600 baud link:	installed, connecting to LSI-11 at LLL.  Remains to be seen
		whether it works.

Datamedias:	Need at least 3 more.  After persistent inability to get their
		new 3000 model to work with our system, it looks like we should
		buy more of the crufty old model - BPM.

KL10:		Cooling ECO received, not yet installed.

IMSSS line:	Accidentally flushed, but we'll leave it that way.  They can
		implement Dialnet it they want to talk to us - LES.

TIP:		Split-speed lines have a bug -- in large output bursts, it loses
		a character (# 372, 3, or 4) - BPM.
		Phone line ready for additional 1200/150 line supplied by SCI - BPM.

UDS modems:	Two more modems should be supplied by LLL - LES.

Vadic modem:	being repaired by Vadic - MRC.

Bit-map display:  Works again.  Will be connected to console-11. - JBR

			    SYSTEM PROGRAMS

Operating system:  Uptime for July was 91%.  TURKEY command added to system.
		PUMPKIN command will soon be provided to request restoration
		of files from Dart tapes - BH.

Dialnet:	Works to LOTS -- simple file transfers work - MRC.

TEX:		Working.  Draft manual exists.

			     DOCUMENTATION

Monitor Manual:	New edition will go to press on August 7 - BH.

TEX manual:	Comments solicited by August 7.

HOW manual:	Appears to have stagnated.  Perhaps ALS needs some help.

			       POLICIES

DD & DM channel shortage:  A lengthy discussion of posible sanctions against
		non-essential use of scarce Data Disc and Datamedia channels
		led to no immediate resolution - LES.

Phones in Jacks Hall:  Discussion of alternative telephone configurations for
		the new building was similarly indecisive - LES.
